Project objectives

The development and introduction of an online course of studies are technical computer science the general aim of the project on bachelor standard.

In order to fulfill flexibility and adaptability of the changing learning content, the pilot project TIO will not only provide a closed learning program, but rather, it will be a constituent of diverse independent modules (so-called micro-modules) that are logically interconnected with a suitable meta descriptions. The structure of this network will not be realized by a simple referencing structure, but fairly through a corresponding pre and post conditions to every knowledge module. The precondition of the knowledge module describes, for instance which prior knowledge a student shall have in order to comprehend the content of the knowledge module. In contrary the post condition underlines knowledge incremental gained through learning that specific module. Moreover, this consistent and logical description allows varying structured access and assessment strategies in the context of achieving quality assurance.
